Mentoring! Empowering! Transforming! Shalonda Palmer is a vibrant, influential leader, entrepreneur, MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL, AUTHOR, SPEAKER, and a woman of essence shining light in the lives of girls, women, and families. She has utilized her upbringing and personal life experiences to distribute hope and teach others how to transform their lives. Shalonda has recently authored 2 books on helping others navigate through life changes, specializing in the areas of mental and behavioral health, women empowerment, and entrepreneurship. Affectionately described as a Visionary, she creates nontraditional and traditional therapeutic intervention and prevention services as well as produce materials that support women’s mental health in a variety of areas that include but not limited to personal and leadership development. She introduced her creativity in 2016, through the debut of her non profit organization, STAR Girlz Empowerment, Inc. delivering her 3 part empowerment program to 135 girls involved in the justice system. Shalonda is recognized and acknowledged as the “Guiding Light Mentor.” Through professional speaking, counseling, personal development consulting, retreats, curriculum development, empowerment podcasts, and more, she has mentored, empowered, and ultimately transformed the lives of individuals. She has received numerous awards and community recognition such as, The Denver 7 Everyday Hero Recognition, and recognized as a African Americans Who Make a Difference for her contribution and impact in the community. Shalonda Palmer’s experience and strong skills in women empowerment and mental health, teaches specific tools and ways to approach life’s transitions. she provides strategies to help people to live in their true purpose and S.H.I.N.E.(Self-esteem. Heal. Inspire. Navigate. Elevate). Parents, Funders, Government, Religious, and Youth serving organizations locally and out of state continue to invest in her consulting services, trainings, and products, contributing to her successful program outcomes. Shalonda currently hosts an empowerment podcast entitled, “It’s time to SHINE, which is showcased on youtube, and a publisher for her quarterly magazine, entitled, STAR Girlz, where she creates content that is shared and showcased nationally to others. Through multimedia platforms, she constantly reminds people that no matter how dark things may seem in their life, “they are STARZ, and It’s Time to SHINE.”
