   The State Coastal Conservancy is a state agency dedicated to protection, restoration, and public access of California’s coastal environments for all Californians. The Conservancy provides technical assistance and funding to community partners to implement multi-benefit projects related to conservation, climate adaptation, public access to nature, and more. In this role, I:• Individually manage several public grants for climate adaptation, restoration, and public access projects along the California coast. From the selection process to board approval, grant execution and grant management and coordination, I navigate complex processes and independently manage a diverse workload and schedule.• Cultivate relationships with state, regional and local governments, non-profits, landowners, and regulators to plan and implement projects at both the parcel and landscape scale.• Select, procure and manage consultants for various efforts, including design of a habitat restoration feature, staff training, and third-party evaluation of an agency program.• Strategize and implement improvements and process changes to Conservancy programs to make them more accessible to historically excluded communities.• Develop and implement the new Coastal Stories grant program, which included strategizing and establishing the program priorities and details, outreach, providing technical assistance, and executing the first grant round.• Represent the agency and participate in various regional coordination groups with other agencies and stakeholders.
