Providing coaching, advice, service and support to department leaders to enable talent and business strategies to support a culture of inclusion, empowerment and leadership effectiveness.• Acting as point of contact for employees and management within client group on all applicable HR-related issues.• Administering and interpreting HR policies & procedures, legal compliance and ensuring clear communication and equitable application of policies.• Developing and implementing effective and innovative approaches to recruitment strategies and talent sourcing.• Conducting employee onboarding, directive training and orientation.• Facilitating employee offboarding and conducting exit interviews• Manage the broad spectrum of Employee Relations issues, including Performance Management, Discipline, Coaching and Counseling in a hands-on, professional manner.• Ensuring consistency of implementation of performance management processes across the dealership• Monitoring disciplinary and grievance issues in conjunction with the line manager to ensure fairness and consistency in all decision making.• Proactively interpreting existing and up-coming Employment Legislation in order to apply to HR Policies and Procedures, and the Employee Handbook on an on-going basis.• Providing guidance, advice and support to Business Managers on all aspects of the application and best practice of HR Policy and Procedures• Championing the culture and building an environment that encourages high performance and retention of talent • Ensuring the Annual Employee Engagement survey is undertaken, results are distributed, and action plans put in place• Participating in JHSC monthly inspection, meetings, workplace investigations, ensure compliance for all legislative requirements• Ensuring all employees receive H&S training and are advised on any new legislated requirements• Investigating, documenting, and managing WSIB matters
