About Shalini Mishra
An urban practitioner trained in architecture with 9+ years of work experience. I initiated my career as an architect, subsequently my interest transitioned into the field of urban development. This has led me to work in the urban development sphere with a consultancy focusing on domains of culture-led development, urban designing and revitalization, infrastructure development with various central, state, and Urban local bodies.I believe it\'s important to combine grass-roots engagement and activism with policy advocacy for long term impact; also in order to achieve accurate smart planning’s goal, a balanced equation is required between micro level planning in architecture and macro level planning in urban development.My work experience in both the sectors gives me an advantage to understand the significance in both sectors. I seek to apply my experience, skill, and ability in filling the gaps to derive convergence across the range of domains in the urban development space. I am further dedicated to explore deeper into areas of public policy, urban governance, urban finance, and sustainable housing.
