In his first stint At Zomato, Shalin was a core leadership team member contributing to the 10x scaleup journey of Food Delivery from early-growth stage to IPO. As Head of Growth, he set up and scaled teams driving platform demand. Across his teams, he managed $XX MN+ performance marketing budgets, retention marketing at a 50MN+ user scale, demand planning across 500+ cities, and strategic partnerships with 50+ ecosystem partners. Through this journey, he has led a diverse talent mix of strategic (growth managers, PMs, analysts, data scientists), operating (marketing operations) & creative (copywriters, designers, ad agencies) teams. As a VC with Matrix Partners, Shalin took inspiration from founders. His own recent startup journey taught him humility through the highs/lows as a founder. Earlier in his career, Shalin worked in analytics with GroupM (WPP) in Singapore guiding global CPG clients on data-led marketing ROI improvement.Shalin is an avid reader, enjoys playing guitar, closely tracks startup innovation, and is a football/cricket enthusiast. As a recent parent, he is experiencing the many joys of fatherhood.
