ABOUT SHALINA MISTRY

I’m a Registered Nutritionist (ANutr) with the AfN since September 2018, and I am currently working in the Healthcare team with Ipsos, where my work encompasses various research methodologies and spans the healthcare and public health sectors for global clients. Graduating with First Class Honors as a Nutritionist (BSc) from the University of Nottingham in 2018, I commenced my career as a Public Health Programme Officer, working on multiple public health initiatives. Subsequently, I transitioned to the NHS, collaborating directly with patients to develop, maintain, and tailor nutrition plans to their unique requirements. After two years of hands-on patient care, I pursued a Master\'s degree in Global Health and Nutrition at the renowned London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. My academic journey encompassed diverse topics such as epidemiology, programme planning, and health policy. Notably, my dissertation, conducted in collaboration with the NGO Action Against Hunger, delved into the double burden malnutrition (malnutrition and overweight/obesity) in regions with humanitarian programs. Currently, I am a Research Manager at Ipsos. I am experienced in leading and delivering complex research projects across qualitative and quantitative methodologies. I am skilled in project management, stakeholder engagement, data analysis and translating insights into actionable outcomes.
