As CFO & Board Member at Guaranty Bank & Trust (NYSE: GNTY), a publicly traded bank holding company with $3B+ in assets and 33 banking locations across 23 Texas communities, I serve as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors. Since joining the bank in 2016, I have steered Guaranty through the successful initial public offering of Guaranty Bancshares, Inc. in 2017, co-led a whole-bank acquisition in 2018, and helped grow the bank’s total assets by 75% to nearly $3.3B billion.In my role, I act as the primary liaison to investors, investment bankers, regulators, and the SEC. I also lead our Finance & Accounting team in producing timely, accurate financial statements, while ensuring appropriate risk management across the Bank (particularly liquidity, capital and interest rate risk). My scope of oversight spans finance, strategic planning, operations, information technology and security, HR, and audit, with a strong focus on cultivating a positive organizational culture to enable scalable, compliant growth.Key Achievements:• Directed the successful IPO process for NASDAQ and later oversaw the transfer of GNTY stock to the NYSE.• Co-Led the acquisition of Westbound Bank, a four-branch community bank in the Houston MSA, and championed DeNovo bank branch expansion into two new markets, Austin and Fort Worth.• Developed and deployed the Bank’s CECL model and created customer-level Net Interest Margin (NIM) modeling to enhance earnings forecasts.• Co-manage the Bank’s $600M investment portfolio, often achieving tax-equivalent yield results that are in the top-quartile of peer banks.• Lead all SEC and regulatory filings, including 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, 11-K, FR Y-9C/LP, and FFIEC call reports, and collaborate with external tax advisors on strategic tax planning.• Serve as a Board Member for Guaranty Bank & Trust and Advisory Board Member for Guaranty Bancshares, Inc, as well as chairperson of the Bank’s Asset Liability Management Committee.
