Shalendra, a startup veteran, is currently a Product Leader at Amazon Bedrock. Previously, he ran Product Management for AWS ML/AI Human-in-the-Loop (HIL) Services including Amazon SageMaker Ground Truth, Ground Truth Plus, and Amazon Augmented AI (A2I).Previously, Shalendra was Principal PM Manager/Director for Microsoft Teams Meetings, an EIR at Amazon Alexa Techstars Startup Accelerator, COO/interim CEO of one of the startups backed by Alexa fund, VP of Product and Marketing at Discuss.io (acquired by a PE firm), General Manager of Text-a-Pro/Direct Business at Pro.com (acquired by Opendoor), Director of Marketing at Indix (acquired by Avalara), product and marketing leader at Clipboard (acquired by Salesforce) and Swype (acquired by Nuance for $102.5 million). Preceding that, he served as a Program Manager at Microsoft for 5 years helping ship Junk Email Filters and Zune music (now called Xbox Music). Shalendra also led multi-million-dollar fund-raising efforts for the Microsoft Giving campaign. He was a top finalist at the Microsoft Loaned Executive Program in 2010, and TechCrunch/Charles River Ventures’ hunt for a VC Apprentice at TechCrunch Disrupt in 2012.Shalendra obtained his Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Riverside, where he was one of the key contributors to one of the world’s most accurate spam filters, CRM114, currently shipped in Debian Linux.
