ABOUT SHAKER YASIR

My career journey began in mechanical engineering, which I pursued at university out of a strong interest in how things work and a desire to solve real-world problems through technical innovation. During my time studying, I gained a solid foundation in analytical thinking, design principles, and systems-based problem solving. However, as I progressed, I began to reflect more critically on where the field could take me—and how long it would take to reach the level of impact and progression I was aiming for.Through that reflection, I came to a turning point. While I respected the depth and discipline of engineering, I realised that the traditional career path in the industry often required years of incremental growth before reaching leadership or strategic positions. I’ve always been someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, where ideas can quickly translate into action—and where building relationships and driving results are core to the work. That realisation led me to transition into a new direction that felt more aligned with both my strengths and ambitions: sales and marketing.Today, I’m part of the Sales and Marketing team at Vetra, where I’ve found the perfect environment to apply both my technical background and my passion for strategic communication. My role allows me to bridge the gap between complex products and real customer needs. Whether it’s engaging with clients, helping to shape our go-to-market strategy, or collaborating internally to refine messaging, I’m focused on driving growth and creating value—for our team, our clients, and the business as a whole.What motivates me most is the opportunity to work in a space where I can continuously learn, adapt, and make a tangible impact. My engineering background gives me an edge when it comes to understanding the technical aspects of our offerings, while my move into marketing and sales has pushed me to think creatively, connect with people, and take ownership of outcomes.I’m proud to be part of the journey at Vetra, and I’m excited about what lies ahead as we continue to grow, evolve, and deliver excellence in everything we do.
