ABOUT SHAJIA GILLANI

As an HR Generalist at Bison Transport, I contribute to the success of the organization by providing effective and efficient human resources services, such as recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and training. I also support the immigration strategy and compliance of the company, ensuring that the diverse and talented workforce is legally authorized and culturally integrated.Prior to joining Bison Transport, I worked at Amazon for over two years, first as a Senior HR Assistant and then as an Immigration Strategy Consultant. In these roles, I gained valuable experience in managing complex and high-volume immigration cases, developing and implementing policies and processes, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. I also leveraged my skills in communication, presentation, and attention to detail to deliver excellent customer service and quality results.I hold a BA Honors in Political Science and a Certification in Public Administration and Law from York University, where I developed my analytical, critical, and problem-solving abilities. I am passionate about learning and growing as a professional, and I am always eager to take on new challenges and opportunities. My goal is to make a positive impact in the lives of people and organizations through my work in human resources and immigration.
