I am currently enrolled in the Executive Post Graduate Programme in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence offered through iHUB at IIT Roorkee, where I am building both strong fundamentals and practical expertise in data science, machine learning, and AI.Through this programme, I am developing hands-on skills in Python programming for data analysis, including working with libraries like NumPy and Pandas, along with SQL and database querying to extract and manage structured data. A major focus is on data cleaning, preprocessing, and exploratory data analysis, helping me work effectively with real-world datasets and derive meaningful insights using statistical methods and visualization techniques.I am also learning core machine learning concepts, including supervised and unsupervised algorithms such as regression, classification, clustering, decision trees, and ensemble models. This includes model evaluation, performance tuning, and applying predictive modeling techniques to practical business and industry problems.The programme further covers advanced AI and deep learning, where I am gaining exposure to neural networks, CNNs, RNNs, and the fundamentals of Natural Language Processing (NLP). I am working with modern frameworks like TensorFlow to understand how AI models are built, trained, and optimized.In addition, I am learning industry-relevant tools and workflows such as Git and version control, PySpark for big data processing, and the basics of MLOps, including model deployment and automation. The curriculum also introduces cloud-based data platforms and scalable analytics pipelines.The learning is highly applied, with industry-oriented projects and case studies that allow me to implement these concepts end-to-end. Overall, this programme is helping me build a well-rounded, practical skill set in data science and AI that I can directly apply to real-world engineering and analytical roles.
