ABOUT SHAILI PATEL
I am a 1st year psychiatry resident at USC + Los Angeles General Medical Center interested in child & adolescent and reproductive psychiatry. I completed my MD/MPH from UC Irvine School of Medicine and UC Berkeley\'s Interdisciplinary Master\'s in Public Health, where I focused on expanding the role of technology and cultural awareness in supporting community mental health. I also completed additional training through UCI PRIME-LC (Program in Medical Education for the Latino Community), a program which trains Spanish-speaking physicians to better understand and address the health needs of underserved Latino communities. As a future physician, I strive to work on solutions that increase the reach of technological advances to under-resourced communities and provide culturally sensitive, holistic care that promotes immigrant & community mental health.
