Hello I\'m Shailesh Uparikar from Nagpur. I am writing to express my keen interest in contributing to organization, drawing on my extensive fieldwork experience and educational background in social work. My journey in community mobilization has equipped me with a robust skill set in stakeholder engagement, grassroots operations, and strategic implementation of social programs. With a deep-rooted passion for working at the community level and a proven track record in leading initiatives across various vulnerable populations, I am confident that I can bring significant value to your team and positively impact the communities we serve.My academic journey began with a Bachelor’s in Social Work (BSW) and Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from Matru sewa sangh institute of social work Bajaj Nagar, Nagpur, Maharashtra. These degrees have not only provided me with theoretical knowledge but have also laid the foundation for my practical engagement in the field. During my academic years, I actively participated in internships and field placements that introduced me to the realities faced by marginalized communities. This experience ignited my passion for social development and equipped me with critical analytical and interpersonal skills essential for successful community interventions. From early on in my career, I gravitated toward work that involved direct engagement with diverse and underrepresented groups. Whether it was children from tribal regions, indigenous communities, or members of the transgender population, I approached each community with respect, empathy, and a willingness to learn. My work with these populations across Maharashtra has helped me understand the socio-cultural dynamics at play in different regions and has trained me to adapt my strategies to align with local contexts. My goal is to stay informed of best practices in the development sector while also contributing my own learnings to wider knowledge networks.

   Zonal Head -IPRH - Hunger Free World Project | Thanal Daya Rehabilitation TrustLeading zonal operations of the Hunger Free World initiative winner of the CSR Times Award 2024, a national recognition for impactful corporate social responsibility.This initiative is the flagship CSR project of Malabar Gold & Diamonds, implemented by Thanal, delivering over free meals daily across India. I oversee planning, food distribution, and community coordination to ensure dignified, hunger-free zones.
