Shailesh holds a postgraduate degree in Environmental Engineering and has nearly 26 years of experience in design management for Design and Build projects, as well as conventional engineering for water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, wastewater collection systems, water distribution networks, and solid waste management.Currently, Shailesh serves as the AssociateTechnical Director, leading the Civil & Structures team within the Engineering Design practice of the Water Business, and he oversees the Water Team for the Mumbai region.His project experience spans multiple countries, including India, UK, US, Georgia, Canada, Libya, and Singapore. Notable projects include the Barsham Bores WTW, Tees Pipeline, Colchester Reuse, GT-Thames Water Projects, and significant wastewater treatment works like the 337 MLD Ghatkopar WwTW and 215 MLD Bhandup WwTW. The Lower Basildon STW project was recognized as a finalist for the Sustainability Leaders Award in 2013.Shailesh has been involved in tender, outline, and detailed designs for water and wastewater projects, focusing on plant hydraulics, yard piping, pipeline designs, site layouts, general arrangement drawings, P & ID diagrams, and health and safety considerations. He has also contributed to cost estimates for capital investments and operations. His expertise includes planning, designing, and analysing water supply distribution networks using WaterGems, designing transmission mains with EPANET, and sewage system design using SewerGems.Additionally, Shailesh has gained international experience in Doha, Singapore, and Georgia.
