ABOUT SHAILENE PANYLO

With an academic background in both molecular biology and law, hands-on political experience, and years of successful campaign organization and issues advocacy under my belt, I am in my element as an advocate for social justice reform. My passion for greater equity and inclusion in our society has expressed itself in forms as diverse as the drafting of racial equity and basic income legislation, fundraising in support of under-served student populations, and facilitation of Parliamentarians and Senators across party lines. I am also a strong researcher and administrator, with extensive experience in budget management, multi-disciplinary team leadership, program coordination, public speaking, and community outreach planning and implementation. Underpinning my intense commitment is my own personal experience. Having grown up as a Black, queer, and working class woman, my intersectional identity is well-defined and my equity lens sharp. I bring a rare perspective to issues of social justice and human rights. As a natural-born networker, I’m always interested in connecting with other professionals in my field, so please feel free to contact me.
