About Shailendra Bhandare
Shailendra is a Partner in the Intellectual Property (IP) Practice Group at the Mumbai and Pune offices of Khaitan & Co. With more than two decades of experience working in boutique IP firms and IP teams of full-service firms, Shailendra’s expertise extends to the entire life cycle of IP (i.e. prosecutions, enforcement, contentious matters, management, licensing, media contracts, technology transfers and transactions). Although his focus is trademarks, copyrights and designs; he has also advised on several transactional matters related to patents.His clients include several multinational and domestic conglomerates including Fortune 500 companies. Similarly, he also takes special interest in pro-bono matters. He is actively involved in International Trademark Association’s (INTA) policy/advocacy initiatives in India and is the past Chair of INTA’s India Global Advisory Council, and the INTA’s Trademark Office Practices India Subcommittee.He has been recognised consistently in various rankings including IP Stars, Legal 500, Chambers & Partners, WTR Who’s Who Legal, IAM 300, and WIPR Leaders. He has also received the Outstanding Practitioner (India) award at the Asialaw Regional Awards 2019 and the INTA\'s Membership Champion Award
