Shailendra is a management professional with 12+ years’ experience in Marketing (India + International), Corporate Strategy, Sales Leadership, Business Development, Managing Alliance Partners and Consulting in Healthcare industry. Currently he is CMO and COO for Lilly Alliances across SAMETA region (South Asia, Middle East, Turkey and Africa) with the objective to expand reach of Lilly medicines to more doctors and patients. He has earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunication engineering from Mumbai University, and an MBA degree from Thunderbird School of Global Management (Arizona, USA) followed by an exchange program from Peking University (Beijing, China). Shailendra is a nominated member of the esteemed international honor society for students of business schools – named BGS (Beta Gamma Sigma) with a GPA of 3.76 (top 5% of the class). Post his MBA in 2012 he joined Lilly (current organization) in its Global Leadership Development Program.In his previous role as the Sales Director he won the most coveted Managing Director\'s Award (Best BU per Sales Performance) both years during his Sales Leadership tenure (2 in 2 times). He has won Exceptional leadership award for leading Lilly India long range project and MD recognition for Exceptional collaboration for New Partner on-boarding (with Cipla). During his marketing assignments he has won the prestigious Industry awards – OPPI (Organization of Pharmaceutical Producers in India) Marketing excellence award 2013 for Trajenta launch and AIOCD Brand of the year 2016 for Trulicity launch. Also he has received the best Brand Manager award in 2013 for his exemplary performance at Eli Lilly. In his free time, Shailendra likes to play badminton and read management books/ articles.
