ABOUT SHAHRZAD GHAZISAEIDI
Genomics is most powerful when it reaches the patient. The sequencer, the pipeline, the analysis, none of it matters unless someone can act on the result. That translation problem, from biological complexity to clinical decision, is what I have organized my career around. I work at the intersection of computational rigor and human stakes. I am drawn to problems where the science is hard enough to be interesting and the consequences are real enough to matter. Sex as a biological variable. The pregnant brain. The genomic basis of drug response. The infrastructure that makes precision medicine possible rather than theoretical. I believe the most important work in genomics right now is not discovery. It is implementation. Building the systems, the pipelines, the communication layers, and the institutional frameworks that turn what we already know into better outcomes for real patients. That is the work I show up to do.
