I am a seasoned audit professional with more than a decade of experience in the industry, currently working as a Senior Manager of Internal Audit at MCAN Financial Group, a publicly traded Canadian mortgage investment company.Throughout my career, I\'ve made a mark at three of the big four accounting firms - PwC, KPMG, and Ernst & Young, having been a trusted advisor across various roles in diverse geographical landscapes including Canada, Australia, Qatar, and Pakistan. Handling high-stakes auditing projects, leading skilled multidisciplinary teams, and identifying and managing financial risks has been at the core of my journey. It has not only enriched my portfolio but also fortified my ability to navigate a myriad of business cultures and legal terrains.In my latest endeavors as a Senior Manager of Internal Audit at MCAN Financial Group and CIBC Mellon, I\'ve championed the internal auditing arena, strategically aligned auditing functions with business objectives, driven audit team performance, and upheld the integrity of our audit reporting.Adding to my hands-on experience, I have pursued academic excellence with a Bachelor\'s degree from Athabasca University and further fortified my proficiency with CPA, CMA, and FCCA certifications.
