As a Manufacturing Process Engineer at General Motors, I provide technical support to production department personnel for new and existing processes for the manufacturing of crankshafts, cylinder heads and engine blocks. I develop and implement process improvements for cycle time, throughput, and quality, using Qs-STAT, GD & T, and statistical analysis of machine operations. I also troubleshoot quality concern issues, tool layouts, and machine malfunctions, and ensure compliance with safety and labor standards.I am currently pursuing my Master\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering at University at Buffalo, where I also obtained an Advanced Certificate in Manufacturing. I have a strong background in CAD/CAM, maintenance and reliability engineering, and machine and process design/improvements. I am passionate about achieving high efficiency and FTQ of production, quality, and safety, and have a keen ability to identify and eliminate key constraints through redesign, retraining, and asset procurement. I have extensive experience and proficiency in working with Solidworks, AutoCAD, PTC Creo, and MS Office, as well as in leading and collaborating with teams in union and non-union shops.
