ABOUT SHAHRIAR ASGARI MOTLAGH

Shahriar began his career in Loss Prevention and Safety Department in one of the biggest EPC contractors in Oil & Gas industry, Sazeh Consultants, in Iran. In a year after his employment he was recognized as one of talented engineers and promoted to higher positions and assigned to many of challenging projects in Sazeh consultants.During his career in Sazeh consultants he had the chance to explore and experience the Offshore safety engineering and serve as Lead safety engineer in many projects. His strong urge to learn and market demand pushed him toward free lance consulting in loss prevention and he was able to excel his strong theoretical knowledge with the taste of practical and in-site skills by attending different site visits and site supervisions.With seven years of experience, Shahriar decided to further his knowledge in process safety and joined Petrofac International in UAE. In a year in Petrofac he was promoted to senior engineer position and served in different aspects of the department activities such as proposals and projects and finally he was assigned to series of exclusive jobs in Dubai Petroleum as technical safety engineer. Serving almost a year in an offshore operating company encouraged him to challenge his abilities in competitive environment of United Kingdom oil and gas industry and moved to Perenco UK limited in 2011. After 11 years working in consultancy and EPC, it was time to explore the challenges of operations in oil and gas industry. Perenco gave him this opportunity. After 3 years working as safety engineer he was finally promoted to lead role to manage a multi-national team of talented engineers and contractors.Specialties: Philosophies and specifications, PFP, HAC, Flare Modeling, Consequence analysis, FRA, FEHA, QRA, Hydraulic calculation and Transient Analysis, F&G, Plot plan and layout review, Liaison with vendors, Fully conversant with NFPA, BS, API, Shell DEP, IP, AGIP, SOLAS, ICAO, PFEER, DSEAR
