Hi I’m Shaheen Gowani, a former Senior Technology Risk Consultant at Ernst & Young and am currently pursuing a Master’s in Management Information Systems at the University of Houston. Prior to this, I completed my B.S. in Information Technology and Systems from The University of Texas at Dallas. My career is fueled by curiosity and a passion for transforming complex challenges into efficient, creative solutions that strengthen business resilience.At EY, I analyzed datasets and advised clients on technology risks and also led an EY Wellness Initiative that promoted well-being and collaboration across teams because I believe secure organizations start with empowered people.At UH, I serve as Chief Corporate Relations Officer for the Bauer MBA Society, where I lead partnerships with 7+ student organizations and foster relationships between companies, the career center, and our members. During my time at UT Dallas, I served as President of the Big Data Club and Vice President of the MIS Club, experiences that deepened my technical expertise in data and emerging technologies while allowing me to champion women in technology and help close the gender gap in STEM.Beyond work and studies, I enjoy finding balance through reading in the park, spin classes, and exploring new coffee spots!I’m always eager to connect with others who share a passion for technology, problem-solving, and growth so feel free to reach out!
