   I am currently a member of LinkedIn’s Search Infrastructure team. LinkedIn search allows its members to find people, companies, jobs, groups and other content. The search team aims to provide users with the best result sets that satisfy their needs and help to get insights from professional data.LinkedIn is adding about 2 members a second to the 250M+ members who perform over 5B searches a year. Handling this volume and traffic requires an elastic, self-healing infrastructure that delivers real-time content at massive scale, from storage and indexing to automatic cluster management to optimized query planning and processing.I am currently involved in development/enhancements efforts related to SeaS (Search as a Service) infrastructure. SeaS is a multi-tenant self-served distributed system which dynamically manages search clusters with Apache Helix cluster manager at its core. SeaS is capable of serving all internal search use-cases.
