Tested and developed generic and user-defined PSS/E models for conventional and renewable units in the PJM area, including solar plants, battery energy storage systems, wind turbines types 3 and 4, and conventional power plants.• Conducted detailed Data Review for Queue Project Interconnections and stability data for PJM, ensuring compliance and accuracy in modeling and analysis.• Prepared scopes of work for interconnection studies in the PJM area per TPL-001-4 standard, including tables of designed contingencies for different types of N-1 and N-1-1 contingencies, as well as High-Speed Reclosing (HSR) faults.• Performed system impact studies for the PJM area, including dispatching base cases, developing contingency idevs, calculating single-line-to-ground impedance values, and analyzing simulation results.• Prepared detailed system impact study results and reports for PJM.• Served as a point of contact to explain and transfer issues observed in study cases to developers, generation owners, and PJM, and suggested appropriate mitigations to address the concerns.• Developed the 2024, 2027, and 2028 stability base cases for the entire PJM footprint, which are used by PJM and all consultants to perform interconnection studies for AG1queue rounds and TC1-clusters.

I\'m Shahabodin Afrasiabi, a Power System Consultant at PSC Consulting, contributing to large-scale system impact studies and model development for the PJM grid. With a Ph.D. from the University of Saskatchewan, my work focuses on data-driven methods for state estimation, renewable energy integration, and stability analysis.Over the past decade, I’ve gained hands-on experience across Canada, the Middle East, and the U.S, delivering power system studies, designing transmission solutions, and developing intelligent protection schemes.
