ABOUT SHAHAB SHANE MARASHI
Shahab “Shane” Marashi is a documentary filmmaker and veteran producer currently based in Dallas, Texas. His work has taken him across the world and has appeared on major broadcast networks, such as CBS, TLC, A&E, FOX, and the NFL network. Shahab has decades of experience in all stages of production – from development to field producing to post-editing. He regularly writes, shoots and edits his own personal and professional projects. Shahab has also worked with large corporations and small businesses to develop and create videos and social media content. He has created tiktoks, instagram reels, youtube videos and broadcast corporate documentaries. As a Knoxville, Tennessee native (go Vols!) and son of Iranian refugees, Shahab is passionate about finding and covering compelling, human-focused stories often hidden or ignored – stories that help empower regular people and build cultural connections at a time of intense division. When not producing for TV and film, Shahab is dedicated to the craft of still photography, often using his Canon EOS-1 Film and Canon r5 cameras.
