ABOUT SHAH M.D. IMRAN KABIR
Mr. Kabir is a Water Resources Engineer with over 8 years of diverse experience in various water resources and civil infrastructure projects in academia and industry. His experience involves 1D and 2D hydraulic modeling for large to small scale watershed including FEMA detailed studies and BLE, 2D dam and levee breach modeling, hydrological modeling, hydrodynamic modeling for bridge superstructures, and stormwater management modeling. He has been responsible for conducting hydrologic and hydraulic analyses using software like HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and EPA-SWMM. He also has experience with various federal entities and state agencies (FEMA, TxDOT, BIA), municipalities, and private clients. Shah Md Imran also has hands-on experience on various aspects of dams and levees and has performed dam breach modeling for identifying the potential hazard downstream. He has developed and calibrated hydrologic and hydraulic models ranging from large to small watersheds for flood mitigation studies. He has prepared technical reports, memorandums, and assisted project managers in administering and assessing water quality studies. Imran has been responsible for designing and analyzing storm drainage systems, conducting field visits to perform site reconnaissance and to obtain water quality samples for monitoring/screening activities. He has strong working knowledge in design and drawing software like ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D to assist in project development and preparing informative exhibits.
