ABOUT SHAGUN SURYAVANSHI
Hello! I’m Shagun, an undergraduate mechanical engineering student at IIT Jodhpur, with a passion for research in mechanical and conceptual design. I’m currently working on developing a systematic design methodology of greenhouses specifically catering to a rural agricultural setting, through which I’ve developed a holistic understanding of the philosophy of design. In future, I’m interested in applying this philosophy to come up with more innovative engineering solutions that help make somebody’s life easier and better. When taking a break from academics, I spend most of my evenings on the basketball court. Currently, I’m the captain of the college women’s team and have represented IIT Jodhpur thrice in the 55th, 56th and 57th Inter IIT Sports Meet. I’m also a photographer by hobby. I’ve tried my hands on different types of photography as the member and the Ex- Joint Secretary of the college photography club, but my heart lies in street and landscape photography.
