Shafkat Ahmed Chowdhury is an American aerospace engineer. Shafkat accepted a position with United Space Alliance (USA) in Houston in February At USA he was employed as an Engineering Staff, working at the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center on NASA’s Integrated Mission Avionics & Reconfiguration Software (IMARS) project, an embedded flight software project pertaining to the International Space Station. In the year 2004, Shafkat got USA award for his outstanding contribution during Space Shuttle Columbia (STS-107) accident investigation. In the year 2009, his biography is being published in Who is Who in America and in 2010 in Who is Who in the World.He started a contract position in January 2005 as an avionics systems engineer with Goodrich Corporation for an embedded software project related to actuation systems of unmanned aircraft. He worked with various world renowned Aerospace companies as a consultant engineer on various embedded flight software projects related to the Full Authority Digital Electronic Controller (FADEC) of an auxiliary power unit (APU) of C5 aircraft, flight data communication system to Integrated Cockpit Voice and Data Recorder (ICVDR) of C130 aircraft, doing Black Box, White Box or Simulator Based Module testing for Bell helicopter and light jets.He also worked for department of defence (DoD) as a Simulation Engineer for an embedded software project, the responsibility included developing a simulation model in a real time computer systems in relation to Future Combat System (FCS). Specialties:* Experience in developing and supporting all stages of systems life cycle including Architectural design, Analysis, Development, Testing, Implementation and Production Support.* Strong Knowledge in Avionics Systems Engineering & SDLC methodologies.* Diversified industrial application background in Aerospace Research.* Excellent Communication skills.
