About Shafiq Taymuree
I have been with Stonecrest Financial since 1998, progressing from Loan Officer to senior leadership, and currently serve as Executive Vice President. In this capacity, I lead our private lending division and play a key role in managing our investment funds. As lead underwriter and manager of our lending funds, I was instrumental in navigating the firm through the 2008 real estate crisis, preserving principal and ensuring uninterrupted monthly income distributions. In 2009, as head of our Asset Management team, I facilitated the acquisition and stabilization of an $86 million portfolio, successfully unwinding the fund under Stonecrest\'s management. Beyond my role at Stonecrest, I have been an active leader in the California Mortgage Association (CMA). I serve on the Education Committee, sharing insights as a speaker and panelist on various lending topics. I also serve on the Board of Directors and have served as President of the association, contributing to policy development, industry advocacy, and professional education. My expertise in residential and commercial underwriting and asset management continues to provide value to CMA and its members.
