I am the Safety, Health, and Environmental Director at Radford Army Aummunition Plant in Radford, VA.Prior to BAE Systems, inc. I was the Safety Management System Leader for United States Steel. I had the privilege of spearheading the design, development, and implementation of the inaugural Safety Management System in United States Steel\'s storied history of safety excellence. This achievement not only marked a significant milestone for the company but also enhanced its overall safety performance. I am currently working toward achieving ISO 45001 certification within each organization at U. S. Steel.Prior to my current role, I was a Senior Manager within the Global Operations Auditing team at Mylan. I played an integral role in conceptualizing and establishing the first EHS compliance auditing program at Mylan, ensuring regulatory adherence and safety excellence in the pharmaceutical industry. I audited EHS compliance in 14 countries, contributing to a comprehensive understanding of international safety standards and practices, while ensuring uniformity in EHS processes.Before I joined Mylan, I began my career in the nuclear industry with Westinghouse Electric Company. My career at Westinghouse started working as an EHS engineer with responsibilities and oversight at multiple locations in the US. I then progressed to roles that encompassed Training and Development for their nuclear services business unit, as well as human performance coordinator. From 20••••14, I served as the Global EHS Implementation Lead for Westinghouse, where I implemented the Global EHS Management System, developed and maintained global EHS procedures, and created and implemented a EHS Maturity Model used to evaluate and quantify EHS SMS performance improvement across the enterprise.My career has revolved around a relentless commitment to safety, innovation, and continuous improvement. I have an extensive background in EHS Management Systems, global compliance auditing, and training and development. I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Safety and Environmental Management, and I am currently working towards earning my master’s degree in safety management from West Virginia University.
