ABOUT SUZANNE GRUSZKA
I am best known for my ability to create heath care initiatives to serve my patients. From my early days of developing a Better Infant Beginnings program to improve the health of high risk pregnant moms and their unborn children, to the development of several Worker\'s Compensation Case Management programs, my passion has always been to improve the health care provided not only within the walls of a hospital, but more importantly in the community, thus meeting the patient where they live. My time spent in Hospital Administration, Physician Practice Operations, Case Management, Quality and Patient Safety has truly fed my passion to provide quality patient care to the populations I served. I am a subject matter expert in CMS, JCAHO, and NCQA accreditation management. Knowledge of these standards of care has allowed me to protect patients through safety measures and risk mitigation, ensuring a safe transition through the care continuum.Over the past several years I have had the great fortune of creating the care division of an Accountable Care Organization including the development of a robust Care Coordination program focused on caring for the patient in between appointments with their provider. My quality initiative focus switched from inpatient safety to ensuring our patients obtained the age and gender specific preventive services. While ensuing appropriate quality care was being achieved, I also created a department whose purpose was to insure that the patient\'s chronic conditions were captured and billed so that the patient\'s condition was fully funded. I create innovative strategies for start-up products and companies whose focus is to improve the health of the populations they serve.
