About Stephanie Folkmire Seager

I’ve always found myself reaching my highest potential when I am able to help others. My passion and drive allow me to accomplish goals and successfully complete whatever task is at hand. My empathy and ability to mediate during conflict provides a unique perspective that ensures all voices are heard equally in team settings. My biggest strengths include being conscientious of small details while maintaining a high level of productivity, which has allowed me to thrive in both corporate and manufacturing settings. My technical experience includes a new plant commissioning and startup, Piping & instrumentation diagram(P & ID) redlining and management, process optimization, R&D new product development, and PLC programming. I’ve also held a variety of leadership positions, such as serving as the secretary and communications chair of Koppers’ women focused ERG, LINKwomen, and joined the Women in Chemicals Leadership team as the 2025 Conference Chair. I also have the privilege of serving on both the Furrie Scholarship & Award Board and the PA Sports Hall of Fame East Boros’ Chapter’s Board of Directors. As a strong advocate for STEM education, I’m passionate about paying it forward through outreach in my free time. I’ve had many rewarding opportunities to support girls and minority students in a variety of classroom and extracurricular settings, aiming to foster these students’ interest and confidence in pursuing careers in these fields. These range from demos and hands-on experiments to career days and “day in the life” presentations, with the goal of creating a more equitable future for all people in engineering, chemicals, and manufacturing.
