About Seyed Iman Habibi
With a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of New Mexico, I am a passionate and skilled engineer in the field of DER interconnection, distribution planning, and microgrids control systems. As an Engineer at Quanta Technology, I actively contribute to the DER Integration Studies group, where I use Python, MATLAB, PSCAD, CymeDist, and Synergi to perform modeling, simulation, analysis, and optimization of DERs, such as solar, wind, and battery storage, in various power systems scenarios. I have also co-authored multiple publications in prestigious journals, such as Transactions on Power Systems and International Journal of Systems Science, showcasing my innovative and impactful solutions for the power systems industry.My doctoral research involved the application of control theory to improve the voltage/frequency regulation, active/reactive power sharing, and stability of microgrids in both grid-connected and islanded modes of operation.
