ABOUT SEVDA SINAN

Summary:Sevda is an experienced creativity coach, music instructor, educator and cultural arts coordinator with an expertise in using leadership skills to support students and local arts networks. In 2007, Sevda established the Walrus Arts & Culture Centre, a social enterprise business that provides exhibition opportunities, connects artists to galleries and schools, assists with promotion, event planning, live performances along with customized tutoring and teaching art and music classes to children, international students and adult learners. Using her international arts knowledge to encourage resilience and influence language and writing skills through arts appreciation studies, Sevda is well-known in Toronto’s Cabbagetown and Regent Park community and in 2018 was recognized for her volunteer contributions for planning and presenting “Love Expressions Through Art” at the Daniel Spectrum Centre for Social Innovation. She has organized group exhibitions and concerts to benefit Sick Kids hospital. These exhibitions include \"The First Canadian Exhibition\" in Turkey and \"Connecting Canadian Artists\" and \"The Art Fusion\" in Toronto along with a holiday show and multiple solo exhibitions for Canadian and International artists. She plays and teaches over 10 instruments including the guitar, piano, drums and various Orff instruments and her artwork can be seen at: and Sevda’s unique combination of talents in music and education would be an asset to a project team that is seeking a visionary with exceptional cross-cultural communication skills. Committed to innovation, completing projects within budget and time goals, Sevda continues to move forward with enthusiasm, and is a member in good standing with the Association of Early Childhood Educators of Ontario.
