Research Aerosol Engineer @RTI International
Characterization and Exposure Assessment of E-Cigarette Emissions:Characterize physico-chemical properties of emissions of various e-cigarettes and assess exposures and respiratory toxicities using inhalation dosimetry model and in vitro cell culture system. Environmental Exposure Assessment of Children in Strom-Affected Gulf Coast Area:Assess children’s previous and current indoor and outdoor exposures to formaldehyde and other environmental pollutants that potentially cause adverse immunologic health effects, in order to estimate the effects of previous exposure while residing in temporary housing unit. Implementation of a Human Lung Co-Culture Model for the Hazards Potential Identification of Aerosolized Materials:Implemented a human lung cell co-culture model system to identify the hazard potential for aerosolized fragrance materials. Aerosol generation and exposure systems were developed using liquid and solid test materials for in vitro respiratory cellular models. Inflammatory or sensitizing potential of individual test material is being assessed over a dose-response experimental design.4. Relative Toxicity of Biomass Cookstove Emission:Characterizes physico-chemical characteristics of particulate and gaseous emissions from various cookstove and fuel combinations and investigates comparative toxicity of those emissions in this in vitro study. Spatiotemporal Variability of Ambient Particulate Matter in Industrial Complex and Its Vicinity:Characterizes spatial and temporal variability of particulate matter of various size ranges and investigates its linkage with variables of source contribution, meteorological conditions, and topography using a statistical model.
