My entrepreneurial background has shaped my approach to this work—I founded Rootfire Cooperative, creating an interest-free loan model for independent musicians that transformed how artists fund and own their work. In 2017, I co-founded High Tor Gear Exchange, an award-winning sustainable business recognized for its environmental impact that continues to serve Charlottesville today.
