About Seth Gardenswartz
A natural problem solver, Seth began his career by bringing computerized inventory control to his family\'s multi-outlet retail operation, which was ultimately sold to a national chain. In law school, he focused on the legal impact of new technologies in commerce. Seth began his legal career at Faegre Baker Daniels, where he worked in the corporate division representing public, private, and closely held entities in various matters including finance, M&A, intellectual property protection and licensing, litigation, human resources, joint ventures, and capital structures. Later, as part of a boutique intellectual property firm, Seth expanded his expertise in trademarks and IP strategy for emerging companies. Seth worked as General Counsel and ran business development for Boomtime.com, and was primarily responsible for managing strategic partners in the health and beauty industry as well as initiating the company\'s entry into additional markets. In this broad capacity, Seth was a key part of the product team and was named on two of the company\'s patent applications. He co-founded surefi.com in 2015 to enhance the visitor experience at retail and municipal locations. He joined the Leverage Legal Group in 2017 when his activities at surefi increased the demand for his skills as a trademark lawyer. The following year, Seth cofounded Blackgarden Law with Candice Owens, where he was recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® for trademark law.In addition to law, technology, and local business, Seth is a co-developer of the tech-flex office building, where other emerging technology companies and law firms are headquartered. Seth\'s specialties include start-ups, intellectual property, trademarks, contracts, payment systems, e-commerce, digital media, M&A, venture capital, real estate, and general business management.
