Denver, CO, US

My role at SpringHealth has been split between cloud infrastructure engineering, security engineering, support, and adding security checks and tools into our CICD pipeline.* Worked in a small team to stand up multi-org AWS cloud infrastructure, utilizing landing zone, and SSO to assume roles for a given child AWS account. Based on the user\'s group memberships.* Setup the terraform framework used with child AWS accounts. Allowing for child accounts to be setup with defined non-conflicting management VPC subnets.* Evaluated and deployed SASE solution with endpoint agents, company wide.* Utilized SASE solution to steer, block, alert, and report/audit on endpoint user network activity.* Leveraged SASE solution, and SSO, to steer private developer and engineering traffic, to desired AWS Multi-Org Child account VPC\'s. Creating a secure path from their laptops, to the terraform created management VPC of any assigned AWS child account. Eliminating the need for bastion hosts, and public IP allow lists.* Utilized SSO API within a simple bash script, to ensure SSO \'Group Rules\' were adding the proper users to the proper AWS multi-org groups, as they were on-boarded. Also removed as they were off-boarded.* Stood up SCIM bridge, allowing connectivity between SSO and Password Vault. Allowing onboarding and off-boarding of users to automatically add them to the proper vaults, based on group memberships.* Utilized CircleCI and AWS Secrets Manager, allowing for removal of credentials from code base, and statically defined CircleCI environment variables.* Assisting in migration from CircleCI orbs to Github actions.

ABOUT SETH RICE

I jumped into the IT industry simply because I ran out of people to get help from when it came to computers. I\'d ask my friends and they didn\'t know the answer to my computer-related problem, so I took it upon myself to learn.I also spent most of my childhood and teen years taking things apart to see how they work, and putting them back together before my parents noticed. Building things from spare parts and scrap material in the garage. Tweaking things to do what they were never designed to do. What would later be referred to as a \"hacker mindset\". I\'ve applied this to my career as i\'ve worked in large global enterprises, small local companies, and especially my home lab. Since everything keeps evolving, I\'m constantly working to sharpen my skills, further my experience, and learn about new technologies and methodologies. Contributing any improvements I can, to any project I take part in. MCP certificationPreviously held clearances - DoD SECRETDHS C6
