About Seth Montgomery
Montgomery oversees the overall management, operations and performance evaluations of Athletic Communications while also ensuring Indiana State Athletics is meeting the communication goals of its 15 sponsored NCAA Division I sports.During his tenure at Indiana State, the Sycamore social media platforms have seen increased growth across the board with multiple teams posting 25-30% gains in followers, interactions, and shares. He was the primary contact of Sycamore baseball\'s run to the 2023 Fort Worth Super Regional which featured over 3 million interactions to the team\'s accounts through video, graphics, and social media postings. His efforts led to promoting Connor Fenlong earning four All-American nods, while Grant Magill (catcher) received the second Gold Glove in program history.The Sycamore communication and digital content efforts in the 2022-23 season led to the Indiana State Athletic Communications office being recognized as the Missouri Valley\'s SID Staff of the Year as honored by the conference office.Prior to joining Indiana State Athletics, Montgomery worked at the Charleston Southern University as the Associate Athletic Director for Communication/Public Relations. He also served as the Chair of the Big South Conference’s SID Committee, having been elected for a two-year term in the summer of 2020. Previously, he served as the conference’s Football SID Chair from 20••••20.During his tenure with the Buccaneers, he helped launch several new social media platforms working on a social media plan and development for the CSU athletic department. His graphic design efforts led to the CSU athletic department receiving SkullSparks FCS Visual Top 25 recognition in the 2016-17 athletic year as one of the top programs in the nation in graphic arts.Montgomery was also influential in two different relaunches of the CSUSports.com website with the latest coming in 2019 as CSU joined the SIDEARM Sports family.Montgomery joined the Buccaneers SID staff after four years at Brevard College where he served as the Athletic Media Relations Director (2008-12).He graduated magna cum laude in December 2008 from North Greenville University with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management with a minor in Business Administration. He graduated with his MBA from Charleston Southern University in December 2015.
