About Seth Deutchman

I come to UX and UI from freelance illustration and graphic design, where I specialized in brand development, content strategy, and visual narrative for startups with a socially responsible mission. I care passionately about having a positive impact in the world, and believe that our shared and personal stories lead to compassionate and empowering products. Because of my background as a visual storyteller, I have strong communication skills, and am able to explore and draw out deep insights from the user journey. I find connecting with users and understanding the why of their needs to be the most exciting part of the design process, but I also enjoy crafting beautiful and useful interfaces. To grow my skills and learn current UX/UI best practices, I recently completed Designlab’s UX Academy course. I have designed diverse user experiences, such as an app that helps cooks make the most of the ingredients in their fridge, and a new iOS feature that makes it easier for shoppers to compare their choices. Using tools like journey maps, storyboards, and flows I solve real problems for real people.
