ABOUT SETH AMOFAH
Seth has a PhD in (Development) Sociology from Tallinn University, Estonia.He led the West Africa Development Research Project, a division under the Social Entrepreneurship MA program at Tallinn University, Estonia, between 2019 and 2022. He is currently a visiting scholar at the Department of International Development Studies at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.Since September 2023, Dr. Amofah has begun to investigate the sociology of financial fraud in urban areas among people below 50 years.Seth is also a co-founder of Urban Sense, an organization dedicated to reduce urban poverty and expand employable opportunities for persons living with hearing impairment (HI) through sustainable and responsible social entrepreneurship.He has a number of years of practice as professional property valuer, facilities manager and urban planning specialist. In recent years however, it has become eminent to view the social interpretations of human and the physical space, hence his current interest in urban poverty alleviation through human capital development, international development, sociology of development, development sociology, and emerging development cooperation, urban sociology.
