ABOUT YASMIN NATALIA SERINA SECANECHIA
Molecular biologist with 7 years of research experience in the fields of developmental hematopoiesis and gene therapy, proficient in a broad range of molecular and cell biology techniques as well as mouse work. My Scientific interests revolve around stem cell biology, hematopoiesis and regenerative medicine, and in general the possibility of translating the findings of biomedical research into innovative therapeutic products. During my PhD in the lab of Dr. Christophe Lancrin I investigated how Hematopoietic Stem and Progenitor Cells (HSPC) development is regulated at the molecular level and identified a novel essential function for the hematopoietic regulator Tal1. I co-authored two manuscripts and a spot-light article, supervised eight interns and established fruitful collaborations with bioinformaticians for sequencing-data analysis. Additionally, I co-organized a Scientific Retreat for 100 PhD students attending from four European Countries and served as a Staff Association Representative for a year. I\'m a collaborative person and I enjoy working in team within interdisciplinary environments.
