ABOUT SERGIO PÉREZ
Grounded in my Mexican-American heritage, first-generation college journey and queer identity I bring a deep commitment to social justice, student success, and organizational excellence. Skilled in strategic planning, cross-campus collaboration, and navigating complex sociopolitical landscapes, I strive to create spaces where every individual can thrive. As a proud member of the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) since 2019 I have worked to mind and bridge gaps while empowering younger Latine folks to access higher education and critical community resources to progress. I’ve been recognized as the LULAC National Advisor of the Year in 2023 and 2024 and I advised the LULAC National Collegiate Council of the Year in 2024 with Council #380.My professional career has taken me from the Midwest (Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin), California, and now Connecticut. I\'ve led and served as part of professional development for organizations such as Televisa Univision, higher education institutions such as the University of Minnesota Law School in the Twin Cities, Texas State University- San Marcos, the NCAA, and have been an invited guest of the Biden Administration\'s LGBT+ Latinx Summit. If I can be a resource please do reach out!
