ABOUT SERGIO CASCA

With 11 years of professional experience in machine learning, data science, and statistical research, I specialize in designing and scaling intelligent systems that drive real-world business impact.As a Senior Data Scientist at Tripadvisor, I lead machine learning initiatives for the BMP platform, optimizing bidding strategies that generate over $200M in annual revenue. I design and deploy ML models and frameworks to enhance product features, improve auction efficiency, and elevate the user experience. My work directly shapes product decisions and drives continuous performance improvements through data-driven insights.I hold a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, where I also participated in an Erasmus exchange program at Technische Universität Dresden. I later started a PhD in Machine Learning.
