SKILLS
ABOUT SERGIO RUBIO LOPEZ
I’m a Head of Solution Architecture with over 15 years’ experience in media and telecoms.I focus on building strong architecture teams and making sure technology decisions help the business move forward with confidence. That means improving the quality of designs, reducing friction in how teams work together, and putting practical ways of working in place so decisions can be made earlier and more smoothly.I was part of Virgin Media O2 at the time of the merger and played a key role through the early convergence period, including the delivery of Volt. I later moved to Liberty Global, where I led a connectivity architecture capability across multiple countries. I then returned to Virgin Media O2 to take on a broader Head-of-Function role focusing on consolidating architecture teams and building a more joined-up and horizontal Solution Architecture function across Fixed and Mobile.I’m known for a calm, people-first leadership style and a strong focus on quality. I care about creating the right conditions for teams to do great work, supporting collaboration across teams and partners, and using new technology in practical ways to improve outcomes.
