ABOUT SERGI MATEOS CANO

Currently working as a Design Manager for Midgard - Main Contractor division within JRL Group. I am responsible of Tender and Construction drawing packages, liaisons with Client, Client Agents, Project Managers, Consultants, Site Managers, Building Contractors, Structural Engineers, Building Control, NHBC, Health & Safety and other consultants in order to assist with managing the construction building process.I have been working for a real estate developer company in London as project architect as well for more than 3 years. The projects I am involved in range from small luxury residential apartments in London to larger mixed use student accommodation, commercial warehouse and retail shop. Other main tasks include:• Managing residential projects from Stage 4 tender to Stage 7 handover.• Attending regular meetings with clients, contractors, consultants and authorities; including planning and delivering client presentations.• Producing and developing plans, specifications, detailed drawings, comprising coordination between M&E and structural models.• Setting out budgets, costs, deadlines and resources.• Liaising with internal and external team members and organisations.• Leading the team within specific areas of the design and project development coordination.I have also previously worked in different studios in Rome, Barcelona and Madrid for more than three years in many fields and across all stages 1-7, especially in concept and developed design (planning applications), management, rehabilitation, architectural competitions, energy efficiency strategies and graphic design.I am able to speak 5 different languages: Spanish, Catalan, English, Italian and advanced Portuguese.
