Data Platforms Team at the UK\'s number one property portal, multi-billion dollar company that has been in business since experiences up to 34M searches per day, has around 10K properties uploaded per day, 1PB of data, 99.99% uptime. The team collects property and location data providing a set of data sources to customers both internal and external, owns over 20 microservices, utilises relational, document, analytical databases, search indexes, key-value and object stores, Kafka topics, load balancer, API Gateway, CDNs, integration with external systems.Contributed to the fast delivery of an AI-based product that was built on the system design I proposed; optimised location search and address matching by utilising ElasticSearch, cache and updating the new index via Kafka, designing new REST API endpoints to expose the new functionality; adapted a service to handle additional load of 250 requests per second; automated a Spring Batch job to update address data by including a step to download a file from external API; designed and implemented a new service to manage batch jobs to extract data from external systems and supply it to core services via Kafka, managing data in new DB schema and files in object store bucket; led design and development of Webhook System to send and manage callbacks to clients collaborating with architects and other teams; upgraded services from Spring Boot 2 to 3, from Java 11/17 to 21; migrated on-premise service to cloud.Java 21, Spring Boot 3 (Core, Web, Data, Cloud, Security, Cache, Schedule, Test, Batch, Aspect), SQL (OracleDB, CockroachDB), Confluent Kafka, ElasticSearch 8, Kibana, APM, BigQuery, Gradle 8, REST API, OpenAPI/Swagger, Junit 5, Mockito, Wiremock, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes/GKE
