Support project and system engineering team with product (marine, offshore, onshore and naval) development and optimization activities through its lifecycle (Build, test, repair, upgrade, modify). Attending product / system development and design review meetings. Participated in cost reduction activities as part of the Kaizen and Lean exercises. Helped to set up electrical drive and equipment required for Factory Acceptance Test, to be witnessed by different class societies. This involved installation of electrical systems LV/HV, cooling system, control, instrumentation and protection. Checking lab equipment calibration records, contacting relevant stakeholders for recalibration when required. Involved in the test area and the test rig development activities, integrating safety control functions in LV/HV system, functional design verification, troubleshooting. Assessed GE products against various standards (BS EN 61800). As part of the project requirements, helped to evaluate and produce Health and Safety inspection reports on various site electrical systems (Electrical drive, switchboard, electric motor, diesel generator, dynamic breaking resistors, transformer). Good understanding of control systems, sensors, actuators, and automation technologies. As part of my graduate program I was also involved in: Full scale propulsion system analysis using ETAP software. Instrumentation equipment setup and data acquisition. VDM drive machine bridge module assembly and testing. I created and proposed alternative design for hydrogen (ppm) leak detection inside battery storage area, using appropriate instrumentation and alarm equipment.
