Senior director of CMC experienced in research, management and project leadership in CMC and drug discovery. Developed the processes for the syntheses of the -lactamase inhibitors xeruborbactam and the FDA-approved vaborbactam, and assisted in the writing of the CMC sections of their IND and NDA filings. Led medicinal chemistry teams to the discovery of four clinical candidates and numerous pre-clinical drug candidates. Inventor on over 36 issued patents and author of 25 publications. Expertise in hyperlipidemia, obesity, diabetes, antivirals, inflammation, oncolytics, antimicrobials, and phosphonic and boronic acid chemistry.
