As a civil rights lawyer, I am dedicated to advocating for justice and equality in the legal system. I am most energized by legal issues involving statutory or constitutional interpretation. Because of my subject matter expertise in linguistics, I am able to interpret statutes and the Constitution using a range of technical approaches, including computational linguistics, syntactic theory, formal semantics, pragmatics, and discourse analysis.
